Does any member know the or know where i can find out the amount of expat in the towns of Murcia for example where the largest groups relocate to, not just the costas but further inland.

you will not find such information, and any that you do find will be in-accurate. this is because the vast majority of "foreigners" are not registered in spain and make up no part of the town halls resident list. its these people that put a strain on the hospitals, dentists, police and fire brigade. they make no contribution, monetary or otherwise and generally suck the life from a town until things start to dry up.
there IS a list published by the town hall of each town that outlines the number of "registered" foreigners, and the information is published by the sur in english - you could try their website search facility.

Thanks for the info, i asked because i have a business idea that may be more viable in an ex pat comunity. But i was hoping to avoid the costas.
