Default Ex Ibiza worker 2009/10 - Is my green NIE still valid?

Hi, first time poster here!

I'm considering emigrating to Valencia before the Brexit deadline and I'm just wondering if having an old NIE certificate will help me?
Its a green A4 NIE certitificate, which was issued to me in 2009 and entitled me to work in Ibiza where I DJ'd for 2 summers.
I wonder if this document is useful to me in looking to emigrate to Valencia before the end of the year? And if so (or if not) what are the next steps for me to take?

Thanks for your assistance

No, an NIE is just an ID number and of itself bestows no rights whatsoever.

No directly equivalent but think of it like a UK NI number.

The NIE is for life BTW so will still be valid for future dealings in Spain.

Hmm now I'm not sure if its NIE or Certificado de Registro... I will have to find it. Its definitely green and apparently NIE should be white so I'm not certain which I have.

If it's green then it probably will have been a residence permit or visa of some sort but after 11 years will be of no use to you now.

It may no longer be valid due to spending a long time out of Spain, but it will be valid to show your NIE number.

Your NIE number will be helpful to you. You need it to open bank account, find somewhere to live, get your leckie and a whole lot of other transactions. So see if it is on that green cert.
