Sounds like a complete shambles. I certainly wouldn't want to live in it even if they do ever get it finished!

You would have to live in it not to see it, lol
I like it though but they better have fast lifts if you ever left something indoors

€358,000 for a one bedroom flat in a building 94% complete (35% sold) in a country where there are nearly 6 million people unemployed, a banking crisis, political crisis, Euro crisis and well over 1 million houses unsold, just goes to prove that Spain is working under different economic and mathematical laws than the rest of the universe.

When I look at absurdly high buildings like that I can't help thinking that the architect must have a complex about something....

I don't want to come over all Prince Charles, but that is one ugly finished building.

So that's where the missing Russian space capsule landed.
Looks like the two blocks were designed by Ikea, maybe came straight out of a flatpack.
Can you believe it, some govt officials were having a look as it was being built and decided we're going to have this weird object wedged between the buildings ?
Who needs architects ?
That thing alone is enough to put me off. I can just imagine it settling a little and the side pressure toppling both blocks in opposite directions.
Could be a bigger queue for lifts than at the Gib border control.
47 stories high and the lift shafts are only large enough to cope with a 20 storey building.
Doesn't bear thinking about.
....and yes I agree, it's downright pug ugly.

Is it me, or will it look like the bottom half of a sun-bronzed, female nudist ?

Perhaps best not to think about the fire precautions!

Re: EUs Tallest Residential Building............
Does anyone know about the safety regs around all these buildings uncompleted, that have for years been open to the elements? E.g All the reinforced concrete all open to the winds rain (yes even in Spain) etc... surely there is a point where the ingress over years of the elements makes it unsafe. Corrosion, wear etc etc...
In which case there are many buildings that need to be torn down. I bought a brand new home once and they told me to expect lots of settling cracks as the humidity left the building and walls shrunk. That was a project on time.
I have a feeling that MANY buildings need to be pulled down... and that is a cost with no return so will scar the landscape for a long time

Who's to know if the type of visitor who goes to Benidorm (and there are millions) would want to buy an apartment in that building? It would be surprising to me that someone with the necessary cash, would choose to invest in such a location - I always thought Benidorm attracted holidaymakers looking for a cheap week or two in the sun.
But what do I know? I would have thought the Shard in London (another extremely high residential building) would have filled up quickly, but it seems not:
Almost empty after a year... The Shard turns into the tallest white elephant in the world

Now how did I guess that Stevie would bring the UK into the mix on a discussion about a Spanish building in Benidorm on the Spanish site ??????????
Amazing eh ?
The Shard has only been completed, yes COMPLETED, for a year and thank the Lord it looks a bit better than that terrible half finished heap of lego blocks in Benidorm.
London being London I have little doubt it will eventually get put to good use even though it's not in the perfect location for business.
As for the subject of the discussion, the Benidorm Monstrosity, I fancy it will be a very long time before it is completed and it's future secured, providing of course it is completed rather than demolished due to the variety of ridiculous faults and delays.
Trying to compare the Shard with that dodgy monstrosity in Benidorm must surely be akin to comparing a Rolls Royce to a Lada.
