Gary Neville has been THE most succesful England defender, not just in my opinion, but in the opinion of football pundits. He still has it, and you only have to watch him in a game to see his work rate and success.

Crouch? I was a doubter at first but his goals and performances proved me wrong. He may not be Englands best, but he's well worth his place.

Well! Worse fears realised I’d say. It was painful, not least from the “ribbing” I got. The writing was on the cards when Gerrard went off, at least HE had a bit of get up and go about him. Crouch? Well, spent more time on the floor I think. Back 4 didn’t do too much wrong but we were never going to create anything. Sadly McLaren won’t get the sack until we don’t qualify for Euro 2008.
