Have heard that there are other companies, but any ideas?

You are now free to sign up with any of the numbers of alternative suppliers.

However, if you one of 95% of domestic users with a potencia of less than 10kw then they all charge the same price as it is government controlled.

I do not use any supplier, and I have been disconnected for several years now.
Instead I use solar power and gas.

The prices are still pretty monopolised then! What is the point of that!
