It's a shame as it is one of the easiest visas to get with almost no restriction on how long you have to be in Spain and you can work as well. €500k doesn't buy you much of a house down here.

As you know, the Sanchez coalition government is weak and unstable but if enough deputies want rid of the golden visa, he might just get it through later this year.
If you are seriously interested in this scheme, I would get things moving quickly because the plug might be pulled at the end of the year with immediate effect. I would imagine any applications in process will be honoured.
