It's a very strange request, but I will ask around. Do you have an HGV license or will it need to be a smaller type of van??

Not wanting to stir up a honets nest!, but, how would that work with insurance and your name not being on the rental agreement unless you are present when the van is rented?

Mitzyboy, I think what Paddy07 is saying, is that if anyone is renting a van and then driving from UK to Spain with a full load, but has nothing to go back to UK with, he will use the empty space, pay for the fuel back to the UK and drive the van back.

The chances maybe slim, but it's worth a punt I guess. I have thought about who I could ask, but everyone I know here, already has their stuff here.

If that is correct, then I suspect that it would cause problems with the rental agreement, and the insurance as the details of the other driver would have to be given to the hirers.

Great idea Paddy, maybe someone planning to move over to Spain soon would be grateful of such an offer. I know we would have as we were planning to hire a self drive van but didn't want to have to drive it back empty, in the end we hired a company to do the removal and had no end of problems with them Ignore the negative comments and good luck

Paddy,

When do you need the van? If you can wait until January then you're in luck!
