Does anyone know if it is possible to fit an electric shower of the Mira type to the Spanish mains and if so what is the likely cost?????

Unlikely. You need to check out the 'potencia' of your supply, it's likely that you'll have far less coming into your house than an electric shower would use (7.5-11.5kW vs a typical Spanish supply of 5.5 kW or less).
