Default Electric Duvet's

In anticipation of the cold weather coming we have been looking for an Electric Duvet, but all we can find is electric under blankets

Anyone seen them on sale in Spain?

It does get chilly in late Jan and Feb, yes .... especially when getting into bed. IK cant get any of the companies in the UK to ship to Spain, even though one quoted £25 and then said they couldnt send it

Can't you just shuffle your legs around the sheets for a bit, to generate some heat.

Seriously, I know it can be as cold as the UK .... you might have to settle for bed socks.

If it's not toooo silly a question, what's special about an electric duvet? I can't imagine many places being as cold as here in the winter but a double-duvet (you know, the teensy spring one popped together with the warmer autumn one) is enough for us

Mind you, we'll have a blanket on top, jumpers & socks on & arguments about not being allowed out to go to the loo cos it'll let the cold air in

Zapping from the Languedoc where it has been perishing cold, my OH wants to plug in our electric blanket already, but I say we've got to progress through thicker pyjamas, bed-socks and hot-water bottles first. I've never heard of an electric duvet, they certainly don't exist in France...

I didnt say there was anything special about it
Its just what we have had in the past and prefer. They are dual control if we have a particularly cold night, and I dont like loads of bed clothes on top of me.

It's all the alcohol it thins the blood, I know because I have one.

If I remember correct it came from an Argos supplier here in Spain

I just google'd "Electric Duvet" and HSD came up; they charge £25 to deliver to europe.

So I ordered one - I will let you know when it arrives

Have a look on www.argos-spain.co.uk, not sure if you will find what you want on there, but they do mention a delivery charge of €9.95.

Hygiene Suppliers Direct. The people who quoted me £25 delivery and then said it was a mistake, they dont deliver to Spain! Wonder whats going on there then!?

And I thought they moved out there for the fabulous weather, I've never felt the need for one in UK. Do you have a hat and bed socks as well?

Since I came to Spain I started wearing a vest again in winter, for the first time since I left infant school. I even bought Damart thermal ones. My duvet is a higher tog than the one I used in glasgow, 15 instead of 11.5, and I bought an electric underblanket.

And I live right on the coast, probably the mildest bet in winter.

But I didn't know such a thing as an electric duvet existed.
