Thank you all very much, very helpful and reassuring. Looking forward t our trip, however there could be restrictions if the virus continues to grow again in Spain.

Indeed, there may even be quarantine on our return to the UK which will be a right pain but one thing is certain, there will be uncertainty for a fair time ahead

Yes, a right pain , it's ironic, we actually came out with the main intention of bringing our uk car back as it needs an mot because the UK government stops the extension on 1st August, seams we need to jump through all sorts of hoops to keep on the right side of the constant changing rules!!

My MOT in UK was supposed to be this month but put back to January 2021. I got this info from DVLA website

Yes, the UK government are stopping the extention from Aug 1, ours runs out Aug 13!
