Earth Tremor in Murcia Region Last Week
Did anyone feel the earth tremor last Wednesday at 19.21pm? It was a strange sensation to experience. Who says life in Spain has no excitements!

There were also 2 tremors in Malaga province in the Ardales/Teba region in the last couple of weeks, the last one was on Thursday I think.
Earth tremors in mainland Spain actually occur more frequently than you might think but the majority are not strong enough to be felt.
Check out one of the seismic activity recording websites and you will see what I mean!

Are these tremors dangerous at all??
Are they regular during this time of year or getting worse each year?

Tornados, on the other hand, are a little more worrying, being more recently active in terms of fatalaties and injuries. Since 1989 there have been around 66 recorded; 29 in the Balearic Islands, 9 in Barcelona, 3 in Cáceres and another 3 in Teruel. The rest spread over various places, including Alicante, Madrid, Huelva, Granada, Huelva, Tarragone and Albacete. I believe that thes have claimed the lives of a handful of people, but injured many more.
However, in Spain, you have a far greater chance of being involved in a road traffic accident than being caught in one of these natural disasters (There is always a bright side)
