Help!

Just buying two DVD´s for husband´s birthday, one on ebay and one on play.com. One says Region 1, the other says Region 2. We bought the DVD player here in Spain. Is this going to be a problem playing them?

Region 1 is USA
Region 2 is Europe
If your DVD player is region free it will be ok, if not the region 1 wont play.

You can get hacks to make most players region free on the net

with the right software it will play on your laptop. Just do a search for code free DVD or region free. Alternativly is to burn a region free copy of it, but to do that your laptop needs to be set to region one or have region free software installed and you need DVD burning software. I use DVD shrink 3,2 works wonders

Just try it, or google your make and it may tell you.
Or as THM says reburn it to region free, or though some of the DVD makers are making them so that you can only play them in their region, not on region free players.

depending on what make ur dvd player is there are a few sites that help you make ur dvd player all region, by either burning a disk with updated firmware then placing this into ur machine or by the remote entering a certain number of inputs.

It´s just not worth it. I´ll send it to my friend in the States as her birthday present!!! But thanks. What about all those illegal DVDS that you can buy in Thailand - they work, not very well but they do work.
