Marie, when I mentioned " choosing" I was talking about a long time ago- before 1975 and we were told by the Spanish consulate that at the age of 18 they would have to renounce one of the passports. The British authorities were not worried of course, so we had no intention of renouncing the British passport, nor would we have known how to go about it. I don't think any of this applies to you.
