DRIVING FINES
Just wondered if anyone had been fined the 150 euros for wearing "flip flop" kind of footwear, i.e. shoes with no backs in?
Apparently its against the law in Spain?
Anyone got any more interesting info\stories on what they fine you for?

Anything is possible with Trafico at the moment.
Someone recently got fined €150 for not turning their lights off after leaving a tunnel. At the same time, on the Trafico website, there is a news article extolling the virtues of daytime lights for all cars!
They need the money so they seem to be inventing new rules as they go.
If you are a resident you don't have to pay the fine on the spot and then you can contest it through your insurance company - assuming they have given you that cover.

A friend in our village got fined for wearing backless sandals driving - but may be cos he got pulled over for a dodgy light, they saw he was very blond Dutch (and maybe not).
I got a denuncia ticket in El Palo two Sundays ago for parking on the pavement which I can only put down to it being a brilliant income stream for them in the summer season - there's nowhere very much else to park near(ish) the beach, Everyone parks on the pavement (which incidentally is wide enough for my Navara plus leaving walking/buggy/whatever space both sides), but only two vehicles had the tickets. Mmmmmm interesting. Whose were the other vehicles? Bizarrely the ticket doesn't tell you the fine, you have to either do a complex giro/fax arrangement, go to the office in Huelin (Malaga) or wait to receive the actual fine in the post. Jolly dee.

Have to remember not to bring my Swedish car down again.
Could cost me a fortune.
Headlights are compulsory even on a bright sunny day and cant be switched of anyway, as they come on automatically with the ignition.

I read this story in a local free paper and it went on to suggest the same could happen in UK, quoting that the highway code "drivers must wear suitable footwear" 
I have always thought driving wearing high heels is dangerous, so I only wear them at home
