They don't amount to much and its a breeze, I loved that road from Bordeaux I did St Malo to Zaragoza in one day and I loved it, certainly my favourite of all the 3 routes, Ive done the Tunnel, and I have done it from Santander, but in future I will always do the St Malo route.

Hopefully she has docked by now, i feel bad for the dogs on board when it is rough, some of the owners can be a bit ott though.

Luckily we've never had a really bad trip on that ferry, but I can imagine it can be horrible from what others have told me

Our worst ferry trip was on that route on the Pride of Bilbao Some years ago. SWMBO who does not have good sea legs spent most of the trip in bed with lots of Quells and water no food. I managed a movie and dinner but that's how it is different for different people. I don't think I would have persuaded her to go under any circumstances. Of all the boats currently doing the Spanish route we think the Cap is best in bad weather and that seems to be the general opinion of BF Enthusiasts and they posted that she was changing her sailing to take advantage of the weather window!

Before I went the first time I watched some Youtube videos, but it was nothing like that for me.
There is bad weather, but at the moment its 5+mtr waves on the coast line, I read that a man had to be airlifted off an BF Ferry a matter of days ago with spinal injuries and maybe that is why they have missed a few routes this week, or maybe they were lightly booked ?
When I pulled into St Malo just before Xmas I saw the Normandie Express Catamaran sitting there, Id like to get on that one day / night, maybe if I go back Easter in the car Ill give it a go.

It operated the Cook Strait in there summer and in the English Channel in our summer.
A hell of a long trip between areas

When I got married we had our honeymoon in Paris through the Paris Travel Service. It was by coach and hovercraft. This was back in the 70's, and it's an experience I will never forget, if not just for the noise levels.
