Default drain rods

hi all
need a bit of advice. anyone bought drain rods in spain for cutting out roots?
this is a recurring problem and this time i'm not so happy to pay for a service which now seems annual. i've seen some rod sets in the uk for pretty decent money, including the steel root cutter for roots in particular. seem the job to be honest, but before i go and try to get them shipped via a friend, anyone seen or bought similar in spain? i'm valencia way, so if a big leroy/brico etc store no probs, or even a ferrerteria, so long as i know they can be bought.

thanks in advance and hi all, i'm new!

Hi, If you are having problems with roots now then you will always have problems and you will be cutting them out every year or less.I dont know how long your sewer pipe is and also how deep it is.If it were me I would take them old clay pipes out and replace them with 4 inch PVC pipe glued together.Problem solved.

yep, thats the long term plan, but as the pipes run right under the house, passing through 4 differing tiled areas (why? its a spanish house)
it's going to have to wait....the rods are a much cheaper option, which can be used again and again.
