Double Oven
I´m looking for a double oven with no success. By double oven I mean 1 part which is an oven and another part (usually on top) which is a grill/smaller oven...I´m looking for a built-in one.
I´ve only found one on ebay and it´s an outrageous price.
They are, of course, 10 a penny in the UK but not so here.
Has anyone seen them in any of the major outlets?
Many thanks

I'm sure you (maybe someone else) asked this same exact question some time ago.
Anyway, Zanussi, Bosch etc. do several models ALL available through most kitchen outlets in Spain.
Just go to a good kitchen shop and ask to see their catalogues - that's what we did and now what we have.

Having made special orders for kitchen appliances several times (not in Spain) I would not usually expect to confine my choice of appliances to things available "in stock" as there are often much better products available but not held in retailers' inventory.

Re: Double Oven
They are very unusual in Spain, just like "range" cookers. Bosch used to do one, but I have just checked and it is no longer in their catalogue. Same for Zanussi, Siemens and Neff.
You will find some eventually, but you have to do a lot of Googling! Otherwise, it's an expensive shipment from the UK.

Re: Double Oven
I visited the Bosch.es and the Balay.es web sites (among others) (at Fred's recommendation!!) and found the models I was interested in and then printed out the product descriptions - including Product ID - in both English and Spanish.
I took these to the local electrical goods retailer and asked for a good price, I chose a Bosch and it was delivered from the regional warehouse in Seville and installed the next day with the old cooker taken away.
A moral is that the Spanish can do brilliant customer service if you go local.

Re: Double Oven
Are you sure it was balay.es...cos´ I can´t see anything on there that resembles a double oven.
bosch.es leads to some kind of newsletter site.
Did you use the co.uk sites to get the info?

Re: Double Oven
Sorry, my shorthand was not clear, I actually googled 《bosch spain》 and found the web site that way. ISTR it was actually bosch-home or similar.

No, they may have a different set of products. Use the Spanish sites
Bosch Electrodomésticos / Innovación para tu vida
Samsung has an oven, which is split into two with a divider allowing different temperature in each half.

Re: Double Oven
Our solution, a few years ago now, was a Balay normal oven and above it a Balay half height oven with grill, it's a bit higher than the unit we had in the UK but it is a solution, works for us.

Great stuff, folks. I´ll follow your suggestions up and let you know how I get on.

Re: Double Oven
Yes, a two oven solution is great, so long as you are happy with a tall unit with a separate hob. Of course, another good solution is a single oven with a combo microwave on top.
It's like range cookers that are not available in Spain - far better to just put two normal ovens side by side.
