Default doing our bit

over the last couple of weeks I have started re-cycling (yes I know everyone has been doing it for years). I never realised how much I actually throw away, the daily rubbish bags have more than halved now theres no glass, tins, plastic etc going in

does anyone else have any other energy saving tips they can share ?

I dont flush loo everytime you know the old saying "if its yellow let it mellow, if its brown flush it down"

got those long lasting light bulbs too and been trying to think of other ways to help save the planet

Do you recycle supermarket bags? I re-use them and also use them for the waste bin. Got a couple of the bags for life too

we did that before (used a plastic bottle filled with water) BUT then we had a blocked loo twice as there wasnt enough water to "flush" away - wont go into details but sure you get my drift

When having a shower and applying showergel and shampoo turn the shower off, when you want to rinse it off turn back on.
