The dogs b*****ks!
Our choc lab needs to have his urges removed surgically!!Does anyone know approx how much it costs to have it done in Spain? Its already costing close to £300 to get them sorted for their passports, so if its considerably cheaper in Spain we'll put up with his jumping the sofo/child/postman for a few months!!

I believe our local vet charges 130 euros for vital bit removal, bitches are more expensive (150 euros) plus 6 euros for a "cone" and obviously any antibiotics required (cheaper here). Hope this helps.

About €100 for a labrador in Costa Blanca North.
Don't know if the prices vary in other places.

Thanks for all those replies, I think we'll leave it till be get out as It works out the same in £'s, so will be much cheaper in Spain, and I know there is an English speaking vet near, which makes it easier to explain what needs doing, no embarrassing miming lolol:embaressed_smile:

can highly recommend him he speaks very good English and gave loads of advice on our stinky Dobby
I thought he was very reasonable too, 87€ for full vacinations and his microchip
doh but totally forgot to ask about getting him "seen too" so will give him a call, will let you know what prices he quotes

yep, my randy little dog cost us 90 euros last week. when we went to collect him the vet said that his stitches would dissolve after about a week, well, the very next morning he had removed the whole lot himself, the sod. mind you he is fine and the wound is healing nicely.lets hope the castration does the trick and no more howling and trying to escape. good luck
