Default dog wee

Hi Need some help please .We have 10 rescued dogs of all sizes we adore them all and we spoil them rotten. However some of them will wee anywhere they fancy and I don't mean but a puddle but a RIVER. We have tried all sorts of suggested ways of stopping them. Has any one any good ideas before we are washed away !!!

Hiya, have you tried the news paper on the floor by the back door, yor put them on it everytime they pee and then when they have got the hang of that you put it outside.Always keep to the same routine with the walks and try to get them used to peeing when you say.so eveytime you see them going to pee say go wee or what ever words you want. They might get the hang of it.Good Luck

It still works!

If you have so many dogs then maybe they are trying to work out their hierarchy. Routine is the key plus walking at set times and not just when THEY want to go out.

It sounds as though they are sure of who is boss and what your boundaries are. I do not know how you are going to address the issues around this or whether it requires a psychologist who specialises in animal or human behaviour or both? Pills may help but who to give them to?

Hola

Yes - you have to put your own (stronger) smell over theirs - use neat Dettol or similar and rub their noses in the urine also works

I am not a rude person I do not understand why when I am seriously asking for help you have to make nasty remarks We are trying to help these cruelly abandoned animals and give them a loving life. Our vet and dog groomer have told us when they die they want to come back as dogs and live with us. IF YOU CANNOT HELP US SHUT UP

Hi from the France forum (the title of the thread intrigued me).
I"m wondering whether the "prolific" wee'ers have got kidney problems? Has the vet done blood tests and taken urine samples? It's the first thing I would think of if our dog wee'd "rivers".
