Hi all,
We will be driving through France in March (can't avoid it) so will need a testing kit as per the new regulations! Does anyone know if they can be bought in Spain or will Amazon be getting yet another order online
Thanks in anticipation or should that be "merci beaucoup mes amies"

What new regulations?
I can't believe anyone is being 'forced' to carry a breath test with them!

But the stock value isn't the only benefit: Surely not having one would represent at least a 10% increase in their chances when they stop you randomly to rummage through your car in hopes of finding something to impose a fine for...
Think about it: This will save the taxpayer €millions, and generate substantial revenue from fines at the same time.
Here's another good idea for a new law: Portable DNA analysis kit, fingerprint kit, and 24/7 in-car video & audio surveillance (subject to larges fines if you don't have it or refuse to turn over the videos to police). Think how much money that would bring in!
And you thought our politicians weren't clever...

I sked our (French) insurance agent -AXA- here in France and this is her reply:-
Breathanalyzer should be required in June 2012 if the law is voted and the "decret" published.
WHen it comes to the fire extinguisher, never heard if it being compulsery .

I thought Britain was bad enough, looks like France is trying to go one step worse
