Yesterday, here in Axarquia we had about 5 cms of rain, hailstones, thunder and lightening. The power pylon next to our neighbours house was struck by lightening and it took out the LNB on their satelite dish and their radio telephone equipment.
Other neighbours had problems with electric gates, and pool pumps.
We also had our first power cut of the winter - 3 1/2 hours!

Not a drop here, but think it rained malaga way.

indeed, and around the corner in Alcana, it has p****ed it down every evening for the past 3 days, in fact the house nearly flooded twice, but on a lighter note, both of our water depositos are full to the brim meaning we dont have to go out and buy a tanker of water!

My little dog puts his tail down when he hears thunder, and his tail has been down a lot over the past three days, and it's down again right now.
The thundery rain also seems to frighten some of the unwelcome visitors in m garden, and they're even less welcome when they seek refuge indoors I've just sprayed everywhere, mostly in the garage, and now have a sore throat and stinging eyes. My eyes are too sore to read the label of the spray can, I should have done it before the spraying, but I panicked when I found an unwelcome guest indoors. Yuk.

Ok, the guest left today and we thought we would go for a ride and relax, but the clouds were black and threatening...bugger it looks like rain...and rain it did, all for 15 mins and very light at that.
We know it is going to rain soon as the Vendimia is any day now. Is so the wine will not be so good, so please let it stay dry for a while longer.

we apparently had 77 litres per cubic metre yesterday
since it only takes 100 litres to fill a cubic metre I'm glad our street drains & all the other measures put in place after the floods 2 years ago seem to be working!

) But you had 77 litres per square metre which is 3 inches of rain in old money. Also there are one thousand litres in a cubic metre

Now wait until it really rains
