I'm guessing that local estates would have this information but is there an online resource which provides demographic data for different localities i.e. what proportion of the population are Spanish, what proportion other nationalities, percentage of properties that are permanent homes v percentage of holiday lets etc??

Not sure how complex the data is.
2 sec on google..
Our local town hall has the information as to population breakdown, so would assume where ever you were moving to or live would be the same.
The Padron gives the council a list of all who are resident (or it should if you have bothered to register) not sure if they will know resident against second or holiday homes though...

Thank you, appreciate the responses. Those two sites, particularly the first one, nail down the breakdown of population by origin.
I can't as yet see anything that indicates the extent to which the population is more transient as opposed to 52 weeks at home locals though I'm not a statistician.
I suppose cross referencing with sites that advertise rental properties would give you a bit of a feel for it. Any other advice gratefully received.
