Does anyone know about any help or assistance for dementia sufferers in the Marbella sufferers or any domicialiary carers in that area please. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Heddi,
Don't know if this is of any help to you, but have a look at the FREE BEER thead (highlighted in green at the top of the Spain Forum), and under Age Concern Espana, then click on services.
Also, if by "dementia" (meaning a group of symptoms, rather than a specific disease), you are referring to Alzheimer's Disease, have a look here (this address is in Almunecar (Granada):
http://www.familialzheimer.org/asoci...EIMER-_AFAVIDA
This site lists the different "asociaciones", so click on this word on the menu to find perhaps another address closer to Marbella (Malaga: which does not appear to have a society for families of patients with Alzheimer's - unless anyone can tell us differently?) There is another address for this society in La linea de la concepcion (Cadiz).
And, another site, with Malaga contacts:
http://www.fundacionalzheimeresp.org...ociaciones.php
Perhaps, by contacting one of these groups, they might be able to provide info on how to go about acquiring auxiliary care (whether it be nursing or domestic).
All the best,
Carol
