Afternoon all,

After trawling this site for months gathering information and several trips to Spain and the islands we have settled on a decision to locate ourselves in Mallorca.

We have looked at several places on the island mostly on the east of the island and heading north.

One place that we are keen on is Llucmajor. For transport links schools and just for the fact it's not to far from Palma.

Is there any other ex pats in Llucmajor. We are heading back out in October to make the final decision.

Welcome in advance..

If nothing else, as you point out, Llucmayor is practical. Close to the airport and Palma. There's a Lidl and Mercadona and Eroski. Some good specialty shops.

I wasn't aware that schools are any better there than anywhere else, but that's not something we would be concerned with (kids are all grown up).

Transport links, yes there's the bus. But no train.

However, Llucmayor is neither east nor north. It's south central.

Anyway, good luck with everything. I believe you'll really like it here. It grows on you.
