No, it was a little different, due to his regiment, we stayed in the Middle East, and he would come home to the compound.

At least it would give you a taste of life outside England..... unless you were in a compound untouched by Middle Eastern culture... a bit like some ex-pats in Spain eh?

Even worse was that we then moved to Scotland, well half of us did, the other half went to London, so I had two massive contrasts!
