For all the people about to travel out to Spain, be aware that the UK Government are contemplating putting Spain on the Amber+ list.

The Scottish Government website states the following -

"Testing for people travelling to Scotland

You will need to buy a COVID-19 test and take this test in the 3 days before you travel."

So, up to three days before you travel. Of course, the other parts of the UK could be different and it would be wise to check the relevant Government websites.

Spain is already on the Amber list in England, no need to quarantine if have 2 jabs.

It is the Amber+ (plus) list it may potentially move to, not Amber.

The rules have been clarified. Seems only UK residents with NHS double-jabs have freedom of movement into Portugal without need to quarantine in PT for 14 days:

Freedom of movement applies to all EU residents.

Can someone please confirm what to put in the Portuguese passenger location form relating to address in Portugal ,if staying in Spain ?

Use 'Espanha' with you full Spanish address and type the zipcode in PT format, so 21400 (Ayamonte) becomes 0021-400

Yes, the control of persons at land borders, between Portugal and Spain, ended on April 30th and the freedom of movement between the two countries was resumed. To enter Portugal, through Spain, it is not necessary to submit a supporting evidence of a negative SARS-CoV-2 test.

I assume once sent you get an email with the details on it which you can print and show at boarder control . Is that correct?

I arrived last week. Filled in locator form on line and submitted then photo copied. I put my Spanish address with zip code in Portuguese format as below. Not once was I asked to show the form. If you don’t use the Portuguese zip code on line , it won’t accept. Hope this helps. One has to do it but after all that nobody looks at it.

I just put n/a for the address as it stipulates Portuguese address, the post code box does need an entry and I put zeros (0) in. I was not asked to show it at Faro airport by anyone.

There is a possibility this Thursday that Spain could go to amber plus , and consequently at any time after it could switch to red with minimum notice . Therefore triggering compulsory quarantine in a hotel after arriving back in the UK with all the expense that entails
There are no border controls between individual countries of the EU that I am aware of at the moment.
So what's to stop anyone from holidaying in Spain , but flying back from Portugal or any other non red country thereby dodging the quarantine requirements.
Is it me ,or does this traffic light system have more holes than a colander.
