It would have been nice for most of the member countries to keep their currencies from the beginning. The euro is a stupid invention and should never have come into play. I preferred Pesetas. However, for any of the countries to now decide to opt out of the euro and revert to their old currencies would be quite disastrous.

We will all find ourselves living in the age of the American world dollar in a few years anyway.
