Hi.
We are looking to purchase a property at the above location. Apart from the golf is there anything else to do socially? ( I really don't fancy becoming a gold widowðŸ˜). Also how far is the nearest supermarket & commercial shopping centres?
Thanks in advance

Living in Costa Esuri includes having some sort of transportation, either a car, motorcycle, scooter, ebike . We have a local supermarket but for buying other stuff, you will have to go to Ayamonte which is about 4 or 5 km depending where you live in CE. Despite from being there in August when it is full , it is a lovely place to live.

I agree with Maverick. A car is a MUST. If you want to be able to walk out to a choice of bars or shops then CE is NOT FOR YOU. We don't do july or August but out daughter does. For retirees its way too busy in high season, too many people, too many children, too many cars, poor service, etc etc. However from mid September through to June its great. There are lots of good restos on the PT side, but that involves a 10-15 min drive. It doesn't bother us, but some people want everything on their doorstep. In fact some people are afraid of hiring / driving a car full stop. In which case you want Albufeira or similar !! Winter is peaceful on CE apart from the odd barking dog.

Thanks very much h for your replies. It's as we thought.
We don't mind being a little bit further out (weve just sold in a busier resort) and we dont mind driving.
Back later this week for our 2nd viewing.
Once again Thankyou

Hi
a bit late to this thread, so hopefully folks are still viewing.
WE are looking at buying in Costa Esuri in 2025 for our retirement. Hoping its fairly quiet (except July/August I suspect) but liking that its close to Ayamonte and Villa Real for shopping etc.
Any advice or additional comments would be appreciated. I am hoping ot visit the area in December for final look around

Esuri is not as quiet as many people seem to think. Yes it is much busier in the summer months but those of us who live here year round look forward to mid September when it eases of a bit. Most general shopping you would need to go to Ayamonte or VRSA but we know have a small supermarket(Coviran), a Pharmacy and 3 places to socialise.

thanks again
