That great info, what thread should be all about.
We have yet to visit Seville apart from the airport and IKEA !! and really want to
go there at some stage,so great bit of info as we were wondering about parking and traffic which is murder during the week and tends to get busy
just after IKEA when we drive to the airport.

Thanks

Currently in CE (half term week)... 1st night disaster .. noticed wet patch on hallway roof (have a duplex on RMA-1).. turned into a full flood next morning with water pouring into hallway. Remembered mains was outside and of course being a Sunday .. no-one around until Monday morning... no water, no electric (mains fused).

Fadesa responded well with Plumbers arriving Mon pm.. turns out faulty push fit pipe behind tiles in upstairs bathroom ... plumbers had cut hole in downstairs hall ceiling and then smash wall tiles above upstairs sink to find pipe.. After everything was sealed .. they did a remarkable repair job, plastering and re-tiling within 2 days .. just some paintwork to fix and we are back to normal.

The leak was on the supply side, I still don't know why it chose to leak while we were here (just think if it happend when the duplex un-occupied) or if one of our guests had this problem ...

A warning to all .. get your duplex checked regularly when not is use .. we were very very lucky ... I also want to give full thanks to Fadesa.. the repair job was very fast and professional ..

AlandEve

PS Now all the excitment has stopped, I can go and play golf .. the new Seve course tomorrow !

Hi to all thinking of parking at Seville. Same as any city I'm afraid. Hire cars seem to be prey for the window smasher/opportunist thiefs. Nothing left on display, but window smashed and rear seat pulled forward to reveal inside boot. Probably easier to go by bus/train as parkings a nightmare anyway. Don't get put off, well worth a visit! Regards Teflon.

I'm sorry, Teflon, but what alarmist tosh!

I've been parking my car there since 2000 and in 8 years........ NOTHING!!!! Not a thing!!! And my car has the inflametory M of Madrid on its registration plate.

I've parked in many areas of Sevlle and no problem. My family and friends and other 'conocidos' have been in hire cars and never suffered problems.

Yet I bow to your superior knowledge..........

Pushing for the land reclassification - should they receive it - means they could proced to comandeer the affected properties under the nose of the council. One director at Agricola has already stated that if the reclassification is given, the Mayor of Gibraleon can complain all he wants as they'll simply exproriate the houses.
Ta...it will be an interesting to see how it pans out. Bit like the 6 nations

Re parking In Seville. Follow the ring road and take the Avda Kansas Ciity turn off, this will take you towards the Santa Justa train station.
Park at the station and directly outside you have the cheapest way of exploring Seville.
Take either a C1 or C2 bus, these buses do a circular route around the city for a flat fare of €1.20. They run around every 10 mins during the week so you can hop on and off wherever you like. Far cheaper than the tourist bus.
Have a look here http://www.tussam.es/ download the map (plano de la red de lineas de tussam) on the right hand side for a great free map of the city including all the bus routes. right click on the map and then click open link.

The new 'Social Club' on the development around the 17th, and 18th Fairways is coming along nicely, as can be seen from this photo. The question is, will it be restricted to residents of that development, or open to all ?

One train of thought says that when you are paying so much for a house on that development, you would want exclusivity, another says there won't be enough residents to make it pay its way.

Any thoughts ?

We have an exclusive health club and spar near us on an urbanization.
When the people were buying places it was told that they would get membership included, they didn`t and it is open to anyone with the money to pay.
If you look at their view though they need to make money so need a full place all the time they are open.

!
This is why you should get at least basic building insurance which will cover 3rd party liabilities, in addition to your contents cover, and not rely on the insurance cover provided by the community. This would not cover any water damage which might have been caused to the apartments below if it had happened when you were no there. A lot of people think that the community cover is sufficient.

we have been to Seville quite a few times now & we normally park @ the bus garage.
It's situated as you enter Seville on the left hand side as you go over the bridge ( can't miss it )
When you leave you are heading straight out of the city, so there is no need to get involved with the heavy city traffic.
I can't say I have ever seen any car vandalism, the car park here is quite secure if you want to play safe .

I think your second thought is most likley to be driven by the economics of the place. One thing for sure the view to the river and golf course is second to none.

PS If as has been said none of the villas has been sold then apart from using the place as a sales office they would be mad not to let punters in to spend their money at this stage!

I always warn my friends of the pick-pockets. Sure, one has to take care in all Cities but they were particularly plentiful on one of our trips to Seville. So much so I felt we were being targeted and followed. Mike felt a hand go into his pocket and managed to grab the thief by the wrist. They work in groups and on this occasion two came in front of us and stopped to hold a conversation, causing us to have to stop. Hey presto the others came and pushed into us from behind to pick the pocket!! I think some kind of money belt for cash and cards.
