Can't help you with one . But my wife has been to the new Playa hotel @ Punta De Moral several times now.
It has a reasonable sized indoor pool, sauna, spa, jet pool etc. I think it has a Turkish bath also ?
They do packages with all the usual things, she has been a couple of times with her girl friends & they seem to enjoy themselves
Not to badly priced apparently , closed Mondays

Thanks for this information, chris.
Do you wish you'd have brought back with you some of the warmer weather?:)
Been googling for photos, and came across this nice display/slideshow of Fabrica (Portugal); a beach which I believe either Mel or Jon mentioned in a post recently?
Enjoy! on this windy, wet Saturday (at least here it is...)

Hi Carol

Fabulous pictures on that site....well done for rooting that one out. Yes Jon put me onto the Fabrica village, I also like Tavira and going out on the boats to those beaches and there are some great photos of that area on the same site. Goodness I wish I was there this weekend, it has gone SO COLD here. Ribs at Mars Bars, a paddle in the sea and walk along the beach at Manta Rota has got to be better than Hot Broth by the fire here...BRRRR! and then wrapping up in layers and waterproofs to walk in the rain with my hairy ones - dogs B4 any other suggestions are made !!

Hi Mel

if you were there this week you would be spoilt for choice on umbrellas in VRSA as it is the festival and market now. Weather is looking fine and clear on the Isla Canella webcam today. Here as with most of the UK it is coming down in stair rods!!

Was up at Esuri the other day and there were 3 men wearing hardhats in the commercial centre looking around. The grass was being cut, and there were golf trolleys and people playing on the second course.

The sun is shining and according to 10 day forecast will be sunny but Fog on Wed morning !!

The Ayamonte pay to park starts on Monday. There has been a display in the Laguna square with people explaining what it all means. The lady I spoke to said they will overlook mistakes next week but after that you will be fined if not displaying ticket. The green ticket machines only take correct money but you can use most coins.

Sue

For Olivia,
Looking forward to meet up this week:)

Thank you Carol for the great website - very useful - lots of new places to explore and more detail on many we already know about. Was having a closer look at it this morning and noticed a reference to the 'Cork Route' around Sao Bras and the following website. It looks as if the site is incomplete but it looks like there are walks - possibly organised. Certainly looks wort exploring if you are a keen walker or interested in local history. Does anyone know?

Web address is http://www.rotadacortica.pt.
Also anyone out there hear anything about the state of the administration? I know the timeframe has been extended, but not heard anything else. Still in limbo.:(

Parking meter maids around here check the ticket and if time has run out or no ticket then they issue a fine of 3€`s and an envelope, you just put the fine, three €`s in the envelope and post it in the ticket box and thats it.
