where is your favorite coastal area? I plan to drive down that way and it would be helpful to find out places that people think highly of. I know it's all a matter of taste but I trust people's judgement

Puerto de Mazerron. And surrounding area. It's beautiful. But stay away from the big urbanisations in the area.

Have you experience of living in one of them yourself, or are you just basing your opinion on what you have heard?

Still waiting for a reply, seeing as you are so upbeat about Spain

If I was expressing my opinion on a big urbanisation I might make the mistake of believing the stereotypical view that they're full of British pikeys eating fish and chips whilst turning their noses purple with San Miguel, and shouting at locals in English between glugs. Thankfully I'm much more open minded than that ;-)
