Re: Costa Calida
We looked at Aguillas many years ago it was mainly a spanish resort at this time and is quiet in winter.
There are lots of other resorts at the other end of the Murcia coastline where it is much busier. Between Cartegena and the La Manga strip is very touristy both spanish and english. La Manga strip itself is very touristy catering for holiday makers of all nationalities and ages and busy in the summer and can be a nightmare getting to it or home at the end of the day!
However just before it there are lots of smaller resorts and towns that are a mixture of many nationalities, you do need to be careful as many are very busy in the summer then the spanish leave to go to their other homes and suddenly everything can become much quieter, we have a friend who lives in a complex of twenty houses by mid september there are 3 people left.
If you go slightly inland and towards the cartegena area with a 10 minute drive to many beaches you find towns that are busy all year which also have a fairly high number of different nationalities, however there would be little potential for rental income if you were looking at letting your property when you are not using it. Although we live in inland murcia our family all live in these small towns nearer the coast. eg La Union, Los Belones
The other side of La Manga there is San javier, including the airport, which may or may not close! Around this area you have San Pedro de Pinatar also Los alcazares we stayed here when we were house hunting one April and it did still seem to have people around and the beach restraunts were open, again there are other areas slightly inland from here which are busier all year.
The whole area has many English speaking facilities.
Between Aguillas and Cartegena there are also lots more areas including Mazaron but we only went there once as we had decided by then we wanted to be inland. If you do come and look round the area then I suggest that staying near Cartegena will keep you fairly central along the coast for exploring.

You asked the same question about another costa only a few days ago. You were given some good advice and a few recommendations. You have family that live in Spain do you talk to them? No-one on here can answer your daft question because it is too subjective; what suits one does not suit another. Get off your arse and do your own research.

she's asking for facts about a particular area - she's not asking if you like it or if you think she will
