Hi

After our failed attempt earlier this year, we come back with nothing and i mean nothing.

We worked hard and with the help if Mr N's mum we managed to get back on our feet start up our business again and things are going really well.

However we still feel that spain is where we want to be, so we are going for it again next summer. (we are a tad mad :D)

We appreciate this country a lot more but our heads are telling us to try again.

We are doing a lot more planning and a lot more saving (hard for me as i waste so much money, shoe collection etc :sneaky:)

We are coming over to spain at the end of august to have a look at some properties and then if finances allow it we will take the leap again.

We just want that last chance and if it goes ti*s up again we know that its not for us.

This time it is more about planning planning and more planning oh and cash :D

Karma left for my out burst!

i think you have got to give it another go plenty of planning makes sense you read on here B/Expats people that say they are going to live in spain and they have given up job and when you ask them if they have a place out there or saving and they say no i think they are nuts ! its taken me quite a fews to get my dream up and running and for anyone whose looking to make that leap take it from me plenty of planning is the way forward

Miss N knows better than to use such negative terms about doing something that most people only ever talk about doing!

There is no way that you should be so negative. You came to Spain and it did not work out quite as you thought it would, this is not a failed attempt but a test run. You returned to UK and turned your fortunes around so I think you should now be positive not negative.

I think you are a 100% trier and no-one can knock you for that. Keep up the good work it is obviously working for you.

What is the worse that can happen MN? What? You come home again?

Is it that bad?

You struggle out there?

Better to have tried and struggle than just sat watching place in the sun/living in the sun/ no going back/ whatever else on daytime repeats dreaming for so long that one day all you are left with is a dream and regrets.

Live is too short MN, tragically short for some, and your a long time dead.

If you go and it doesn't work out again it isn't a failure, its just not for you, not your destiny.

Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, remember that you love and are loved and get the hell on with the next chapter of your life.

Failure is only ever an issue in life if we care about other peoples judgment of us. Sub-consciously we don't understand failure, it isn't in us to understand it, its not how we learn.
We learn through trial and error, as a child if we hit our head on the floor and it hurts we don't hit our head on the floor again, but we are all so het up about trying to look good to others that we forget about that bump on the head.

as I have said before..................

"It is not death we should be scared of, but never learning to live!"

Hiya MissN

Now dont take this in the wrong way at all will you ? this is just me thinking a little on your behalf ..

Firstly why rush ? You are young and its only been a few months since you got back , why try and rush it as if you must get back soon as possible ?
Like you say things now here are bearable for you and thats good , you are also settled business going well etc..

So like i say just me thinking as if it was me in your position , and i would stop buying shoes , set a seperate budget for the Spanish Move and generally tighten the belt for a good year .

Then after your experiences of knowing that things can go wrong out there , you will be better prepared , more knowledgable on where you want to be etc,, and have a little buffer money to make the move pleasurable .

I would hate to have you go through all the hassle again next time you know as i like you ;)
So something to maybe think on before you rush and charge over there .
