Yes I wasn't joking, that really is what the normal conclusion is.
But of course you can spend a lot more if you try hard |
Re: cost of living

Assuming a bit of both and 12.5k should do it.. but those out there already will no doubt give more info , was a thread on it very recently have a peek at it . |

Re: cost of living
ok alls fair and well if the cost of living is 10K, what if you don't earn 10K ? what if you don't earn 1K? as others have said the cost of living is reflected in lower wages.
Mitzy as we've said before living over there with a uk pension, regular money every week converted into euros is a different story to living there with a family and the odd bit of work here and there. Also there is a lot more to consider than food, fags, wine and meals out. |

I stated the figure in sterling, if you want to be pedantic about it its 14500 euros :) Thats what you need, wherever you are earning ;):) |

I don't care as I said it depends on what lifestyle you have I'm sure we managed on a lot less than 10K euros or pounds, but we struggled on. |

Would you say thats a combined amount or each?
We go out for coffee regularly, sometimes lunch, a proper evening meal a couple of times a month maybe. Our supermarket shop can be 70 euros or around 130 for a full shop, depending on if we stock with booze :D. Diesel is presently hovering around 91 - 94 cents a litre. Water bill varies between 30 euros a quarter and 120 euros a quarter, depending on the time of year as the pool loses a lot. |
