Thanks for that - we received the substantial glossy leaflet through our door a couple of days ago. How many thousands did they print? - they will all end up in the basura....... . I'm not sure if I've got this right but it appears the generalitat were paying but now towns or groups of towns are paying, through a new tax on inhabitants.
Has anyone paid this tax yet, if so when was it due, and how do you pay? Thanks |

Re: COR bill (Oliva)
I live in Piles just 1k from Oliva and had to sign for the bill - which was €39 and was payable at a lot of different banks. The whole village had them delivered by hand but later in the week I had to collect a parcel from our post office which BTW is a small room in the Casa Cultura and our postmaster and two assistants were making up bundles still to be delivered.
I'm not sure about this but was told it's something to do with all the conservation bins that have now been placed everywhere i.e. Organic waste, plastic etc, glass and cardboard. |

Im not sure what is happening on Tossal Gros, but there are workers here at the skip / rubbish area building walls and laying a base for something
Much bigger than the old ones and the binwagon driver has no need to get out of the cab as they are automatically picked up from the side, rather than the back. As an added bonus there is no need to touch the bin lid when dropping off rubbish. There is a steel bar which acts as a foot pedal. |
Re: COR bill (Oliva)
I still have not paid my COR bill as last time I was over (Feb) I had not received it.
I am over in a few weeks and if the bill still hasn't is there a way I can pay it without one and where? Thanks in advance |

Possibly preparing for the new type of bins.

Re: COR bill (Oliva)
I got mine when I visited the house last week.
It was in the name of the local Council (La Font) and was for 40.26 if paid by 30 April. The period of the charge is not clear from the bill however I took it to the bank who made the payment from my account and have now set up a DD. |

Sadly no ........ they built a walled area .... about a meter high, and now everyone throws their garden rubbish into it. Cheaper than a skip it seems
and if they have got them where would the sludge go to ?? this is why farmers have to build heavy duty concrete to hold back the sludge from their cows - it contaminates the land and the water table. |

You will probably have two bills One is for the rubbish being removed, and one is for provision of the system to have the rubbish to be removed. Both are around the same. One was received a few months back, the second within the last three weeks |
