Controrembolsa Probs?
I recently sent a package to someone via controrembolsa. After a few days I got a mail saying thathe guy had not received it. I went to the PO and they said it was sitting in the post office at the other town waiting to be picked up.
I have heard nothing more and had no replies to my mail. The total was 45 Euros of which 12.92 was the cost borne by me.
Does anyone know what happens when the person at the other end does not comply with the arrangement?

Re: Controrembolsa Probs?
Yes, I guess it should be Contra Reembolso, Basically C.O.D. Cash on delivery.

Thanks for the clarification. Personally we would not use that as back transfers are quick and easy. Then at least you know you have the money.

Re: Controrembolsa Probs?
maybe1day, there's a similar question on the todoexpertos forum. The answer goes something like this
In theory a contra reembolso is a binding agreement and if the buyer changes his mind he is liable for the postage and return. However, when a purchase is made online, the buyer's right to cancel probably negates this.
The post is from a few years ago but here it is for what it's worth Contra reembolso no aceptado - Comercio electrónico - Todoexpertos.com
Sorry this has happened but you might have to chalk it up to experience.

Re: Controrembolsa Probs?
It was a secondhand item which I was selling on Milanuncios. The description and photographs were 100% accurate.
I will see what happens on Wednesday after the holiday.
It will be the last time I use this system. I saw that there is a prepaid Post card, I think that would be ideal for use with internet etc both for paying and receiving. I understand that if the payment is made to your bank it can be rescinded within 30 days.
