Just curious on behalf of my Parents ... is there a local Computer store in Ayamonte ? they basically need a new laptop ... I could post them to Amazon links .. but maybe easier if there was a local dealer who could help them set it up ...

The short answer is NO. There is a guy just behind Laguna sq who repairs computers ( internet shop), but on the whole I think you could do a lot worse than go to the Tavira Gran Plaza where there is a good size WORTEN store. Check out their website. they have a big selection of laptops from 300 -1500 euros. From experience at least some of the staff speak reasonable english language. The only other option that springs to mind is Huelva ( Media Markt). They also have a website but my personal experience with them was not great. They were very much extended warranty orientated. Ooops, I almost forgot - Carrefour at Cartaya & Huelva were selling laptops but can't remember much about their selections. Personally I would start at Worten..........Keith

A point to be aware of is that the keyboards can be slightly different in Spain and Portugal. They have different layouts and symbols along with the language it is setup in. Macs are not as bad as Windows

Yeah the language / keyboard did dawn on me last nite too ... it'll be a few days until they can get there anyway... on top of everything else the aircon / panel lights on the dashboard of the car aren't working now as well! ..local garage couldn't fix it, even tho it seemed like a fuse issue.

The only place they can take it to now is Portugal.. and well the border is still currently close...

Don't forget there is a Worten in Lepe as well.
There's also Media Mart in Huelva which is very big with lots of choice (just off the southern motorway link )
