and how many jobs will be "created" to control this, provide supervision, etc ?? considering how many officials should have been made redundant in the purge on civil service jobs surely they will have to recruit again.

this sounds like there will be an explosion in job clubs run by private businesses just as there were 30 years ago.

Unfortunately like everything else in the Public sector there will be too many Chiefs and not enough Indians, however it is I believe a step forward.

I think it's a good idea, even if it is only sweeping the streets. Just making sure they are out of bed and clocking in at 8am will encourage them to get a job. The problem is the jobless lose the work ethic (if they ever had it). It's a shock to the system starting work and that's what they need a short sharp shock

What about HS2

If we gave everyone of working age on benefits a shovel,pick and wheelbarrow they could build the trackbed for HS2

Then they could also gain an NVQ as Navvies

but all the real jobs would go to Eastern Europeans - they can get up early in the morning as they are already 2/3 hours ahead by body clock so the UK becomes a lie in for them

the only winners in all this will be the Govt friends who will be running the companies
