clarification of Brexit and rights in spain
can anyone shed some light...I have a few pending concerns in light of 2019 brexit (if it ever happens)..
* Im a british citizen living in Spain, married to my Spanish husband, however we only hold a English marriage certificate not yet a Spanish certificate. We have a padron and a family book in Spain..WILL NOT HAVING A SPANISH MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE EFFECT ANY OF MY RIGHTS IN SPAIN AS A SPOUSE AFTER BREXIT?
* Our child is born in Spain, and we are applying for his spanish passport soon...SHOULD OUR NEXT MOVE BE TO ORDER A BRITISH PASSPORT BEFORE BREXIT TOO?
* Any education qualitfications like a degree certificate from the UK ... WILL THESE STILL BE VALID IN SPAIN TO CONVERT AFTER BREXIT?
* Will my husband and child be able to move back to the UK on their spanish passports if i hold a british passport after brexit?
if anyone can shed any light on these that would be helpful although im not even sure if the answers to some of these have actually been released yet.

Frankly, until Brexit is sorted, it’s impossible to answer these questions with any certainly of the answer being correct. What I would say is that if you can do any of these things now, I would not wait to do it.

I'm not sure about the other questions, but for this...
I think that as long as your marriage is properly registered and noted in your family book, you don't need to have a Spanish marriage certificate. That should be proof enough of your marriage for Spain.

- You don’t need a Spanish marriage certificate.
- It’s a good idea to get your son on the system early but it’s not absolutely necessary. Consider consular birth registration.
- Not sure what you mean by ‘convert’.
- Your husband may not have the automatic right to move to the UK after Brexit/transition period as he does now. Whether EU citizens will be treated as the same as non-EU nationals (and therefore require a spouse visa in your case) has yet to be determined.

Actually, that happened just after May offered him the job of Brexit Minister and he turned it down.

It is not entirely clear on voting in local elections. I know you can and I have voted in the local municipal elections being registered on the Padron and the electoral roll but there are upcoming elections for the Comunidad of Andalusia can we vote in that?
