My Grandparents retired to Holland-on-Sea in a bungalow.
Their three children all live in Spain.
Do you think that by moving to the Spanish Coast developments people are in effect doing the same thing that earlier generations did moving to the seaside in the UK?

More like the kids are doing the same thing, spreading their wings et al, but now they have the option to go further.

Cleethorpes should NOT be in that list, it isn't on the sea, its in the Humber Estuary, and the water is sea and fresh water mixed, also 'orrible and muddy.

Sounds a bit like the back side of Clacton and Walton then.
And I mean the "inland" side which has the muddy esturial water instead of the true sea side.

Muddy beaches and stoney ones, you can stick them both.
