Default christmas pud

We have got a few Christmas puddings from Mraks and Spencer.

The display date is until 15 Jan and the best before date is 22Jan.

That is only I week, I thought that these things were like wedding cake, in the way that you can keep them for years.....

Best before isn't hugely significant. It isn't as tho it will turn to toxic waste at midnight on the 22nd.

Fuuny you should mention this, I saw something on google about how dangerous they were and were being recaled for something...............if you want my addy to send them all to I will happily supply it..........a few mince pies wouldn't go a miss either!

I agree, however if you don't want to take a chance they'll freeze if you've got space.....
whyever they had such a short date in the first place, though, beggars belief. M & S shame on you
