Hi,

Can anyone help? Has anybody had any experience of giving birth in the Ayamonte area and know of any good obstetrician etc.

Thanks

Well, I had a look at it.

My wife gave birth twice, once state hospital in Huelva (Infante Elena) which wasn´t the best experience (for her). Second time around we went private with the plan to give birth in the private clinic in Huelva but at the time the doctor was on holiday so we had to drive to Seville. And had a better experience.

For the best info, just go and see your doctor.

But are you not based in Tavira ??????

Thanks for the info, its appreciated

Like Jur we used Infante Elena, the difference is here in Spain they see it as a production line for delivery, not quite like what we are used too.

They are very clinical and even gave us a day for inducing, we had a few complications with our daughter being born 6 weeks prem and the staff were fantastic, she was also in an incubator for 17 days which meant we had to trek backwards and forwards to Huelva. But overall the experience was good.

Can you not get one in Faro? Nearer ?? Just incase ???

Then you´ll need to contact your health insurance company, they can tell you where to go.

So you live in Tavira and work in Spain then?
