OMG my 20 yo DD has just fairly subtly asked if I'll help her find somewhere for her & a mate to do a summer hol next year ... our 5 bed campo accomm obviously too parented!!
Anyone any warnings, recommendations, etc., anywhere from say Torremolinos to Fuengirola? (easy reach if I have to go fetch!)
Or of course if no specific recommendations, where might I start looking (sounds a daft question but there might be better and worse places to search!)

Safe? I thought everywhere in Spain is safe, what have you heard?
Anyhow, have you read through TA. or looked at Booking-dot-com website? Both have loads of reviews.

Try the Jupiter apartments in Arroyo de la Meil. Central for all the bars, restaurants, clubs, supermarket, park, library and a massive pool.

Thanks all, lots to work with. Needless to say (a) I shouldn't worry about two adults (
) and (b) they'll probably change their mind and decide on Turkey or Wapping Creek or somewhere!

I was a holiday rep for 4 years in the Costa del Sol....
Puerto Banus is a great area but expensive for drinks (PYR apartments have good priced accommodation)...
I would not recommend Torremolinos or Fuengirola...
Benalmadena has a nice port area, and all is fine if they stay away from the '24 hour square'... Hotel Alay is well located or the Riu Benalmadena...

We know the various resorts quite well living where we do, but it's the specifics of accommodation I'm after - and TA plus some of the recommendations on here might help with that!

what does TA mean?
Also depends on what budget they have, whether they want an apartment or a hotel, what star?, self-catering, breakfast only or all inclusive etc, near to facilities, more inland etc etc.

They are a bit old for 24hr square at 20.

Ripoff Marbella and Banus are ok though ?

As I said, I know the area in terms of what the different resorts, pueblos, etc., are like, and do realise a lot depends on budget, dates etc but some hints on clean cheap value places was the idea.
Thanks again all.

Hola,
I could list 40/50 choices hence the questions.....
ps. Marbella and Puerto Banus do not have to be expensive at all, if you head to the right places!
