Default Changing IP settings - best on router or TV itself?

Hi there we have signed up for a free trial with Smartydns for OH's trip to Spain now we have the router delivered by Vodafone (which took FOREVER). I was under the impression that it was best to change the settings on our Samsung Smart TV (F series) itself but my partner says that he must change them on the router itself. I don't think we need the settings changing on anything other than the TV as will not want to watch English TV on laptops or phones and have read that it is much more complicated to change them on the router. Please can anyone confirm as he sets off tonight. thanks

Personally, I put the Smart DNS settings in each device. In most cases it is very easy and it gives me more flexibility.

Assuming you know how to access the router settings that is also very easy to change.
