Cattery and/or Kennel business
Hi all,
My girlfriend and i are thinking of moving to Spain and either buying an existing cattery and/ or kennels business or starting one ourselves. (We have done some research regarding licencing but understand that it will be case-by-case basis dependent on the property and local town hall)
Has anyone got any views on the possible success of this, any relevant information/knowledge or know of any that might be for sale?
Also, if anyone knows or any particular areas to target or avoid, that would be great. (We prefer nicer scenario to cheaper booze and stag do's, if that helps! Would still need to be fairly near to some amenities for entertainment etc)
Thanks in advance

Where about do you plan to settle? I would suggest demand will be higher if you locate near to an expat community.
I have used a kennel near San Fulgencio and was very disappointed with the service. They are expensive and seem to be very busy, so there must be a demand. If you set up near there and provide a decent service you should do well.

Re: Cattery and/or Kennel business
We have very good kennels quite close to us that charge 6 euros/night for dogs & 5 euros/night for cats.
Could you make a living at those sort of prices?

Thank you for the replies, sorry slow response i didnt know i had any replies until Brian Isaac sent a message.
Brian i was about to reply to you about sending more details but obviously your post got removed very quickly, which seems harsh.
I will check the classifieds to see if you have posted there. Unfortunately i cant send private messages.
Or if you want to post a link to your kennel website i would be interested to have a look, hopefully you are allowed to do that at least.
Thanks
