Cashback in Spain?
Is it possible to get cashback in Spain when paying by debit card just as you can in the UK?

I havent ever come across this one in Spain. Certainly not in Mercadona

That would be brill if you can, we have friends coming to stay who's card can only withdraw cash in the UK but they can pay by card anywhere so wanted to use the cashback facility to withdraw some money whilst here.

Never heard anyone do it in Iceland, but then I only go once every couple of weeks maybe not that often. Never heard it done, offered or asked for anywhere else, either! Wish they did, though.

We popped into Iceland on our way home from work tonight and they don't do it so I guess its a general no in Spain. Oh well!

I asked our Spanish teacher about this a few months ago, he didn't know what Cashback was, so it will be a no.
