Smile casa finished. now ITV, Insurance suma, What order?

Hi All
First post here. So please be gentle.

Finally finished restoring ;-) the Casa. on our 4 acre finca. in L'Ampolla, Tarragona. A year of fun and stress. But thats another very, very long story.
Will post some pics if anyone would like to see.

Question:
We Have our spanished reg. car that will need insurance ITV and SUMA (road Tax?) very shortly. The garage in Tarragona did all this for us last time. But we should find out and do it for ourselves.

What order do we need to do the above?

many thanks
John & Laurie

I don't know if you have read it yet, but there is an article in our Article Section about this very subject.

Good link Sue.
jodal666 do not take 15 mins for granted, it must be the world record
The last time I went to the one in Malaga I was well pleased to do it in 1.5 hrs.
If the garage doesn`t charge too much then let them do it

Thanks for the link.
But where do we go for the road tax (suma?)Correos? Do we need to show a current ITV to get the Suma?
What documents are we required to take with us?

regards
John

I think it is the local council office, but with so much red tape unless you are fluent Spanish its probably best to let someone else do it.

"You must pay your road tax between March and May. Contact your local town hall to ask when and to collect a payment form. You can pay in person at the town hall (though this usually involves long queues), or better, by post or direct debit."
