Hi all, please bear with as I am new to the forum and I have tried to find what I need but to no avail. My mum will be 88 next month and has been living with us in Spain for over three years, unfortunately on Christmas Eve she had yet another fall and ended up back in hospital with a broken femur which they pinned. After 12 days in hospital she was released home without any after care nor physiotherapy, plus she had not managed to weight bare so no walking at this point. My husband arranged with the local clinic for a nurse to change her dressing and eventually remove her stitches. Trouble is she needs 24-7 care now off which my husband and I are not only unqualified to do but physically unable to especially as just in the last two days she states her hip is hurting and now refuses to do any walking, 5-10 yards twice a day nor able to get on or off her commode. My question is……. after the long above statement what is she entitled to as in either care assistance or care home living funding from the Uk. She is housebound as our house is at the top of a steep hill not accessible by car but due to her becoming even less mobile we are now unable to leave her so are basically housebound with her. Can anyone help or point us in the right direction as to where we go from here. She gets a uk pension as she worked and paid into the system all her working life. Thank you all in advance.

It's not easy. Best place to start is with Age UK (was previously Age Concern and Help the Aged and they merged). They have a factsheet pdf you can download which has lots of info:

To be eligible for any assistance from Spanish Social Services, I am afraid one of the criteria is that the person needing care must have been registered as resident in Spain for at least 5 years (ie have become a permanent resident) and as you state that your mother has been living in Spain with you for 3 years, that would not be the case.
If your mother has the financial means, one good thing is that places in residential care homes are a lot cheaper here in Spain than they are in the UK. You could use a website like this one to find homes in your area (and contrary to what seems to be the popular belief that families have to provide all care for their elderly relatives in Spain, residential homes are quite plentiful these days) - some of them will show the cost of their places (which is shown monthly, not weekly as it usually is in the UK) and some not.
Info residencias geriatricas - Residencia tercera edad mayores y ancianos
As an example of cost, there is a very modern and well regarded care home near where I live. The cost of a place in an individual en suite room is shown on the Info Residencias site as €2,857 per month, less for a shared room.

Care homes (those for long term care not medical services) are rarely paid for by local authorities in the UK unless the person come under a program called Continuing Care under the NHS for which they have to be assessed.

To get her back to the UK, she would need a private ambulance or flight. She would have to reside in a private nursing home until she qualifies for any assistance. When my Mum was in a private nursing home, after returning to the UK from France, she had to pay £5,500 a month and that was in 2015, so considerably more now, I should imagine. After 6 months of being residence in the UK, she did qualify for some assistance as basically, she had run out of savings. I know my sister applied for various programs which even though she was bedridden, and couldn't communicate due to her illness, she was deemed too fit to qualify. They even suggested moving her to a one bed flat with my Dad as her carer with additional support, despite the fact he needed support due to a stroke! Fortunately, due to my sister's persistance she did eventually get a place in nursing home within easy reach of my sister. I know that despite my sister being close, it was very hard to get help for my Mum, doing it from Spain, would be impossible I imagine. Good luck, but I think your best bet is to try and get help in Spain.
