caravan for winter??
With all the unease of Brexit and being resident in France, we have decided to stay put and not make a permanent move to Spain. That said, we are now looking into the practicalities of buying a caravan on a site to use for the winter months, maybe one month up to 3, depending on how we feel. Is this something that would be easy to do? We're not looking for state of the art places or renting out to others, but something somewhere with a bit of life and warmer temps than France! Any advice/links etc would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance, cheers!

Why not just rent for the "maybe one month up to 3"?

It could be rather expensive to keep a caravan on site for 12 months when you will use it for only 3?

Hola
Make sure the caravan site is a 12 month site as many are closed for two months a year

Plenty of deals for campsites with huts if you dont own a caravan, do you realy want to be alone in the winter? Benidorm campsite if you want the high life,
If you have your own van then most campsites do winterdeals .

In my own opinion you might be better off renting an apartment for the winter months.
We are just south of Valencia and this winter has been cold.... with many nights dropping to 3-5C. You want heating and I am not sure how I would fancy a caravan in the winter.

Modern caravans can be extremely comfortable and better than my draughty old finca and much easier to heat if plugged into the mains electric

If it's only the winter months you're looking at I would rent an apartment. There's lots of choice in winter and landlords are willing to be very flexible around this period. It would probably be cheaper & more comfortable than a sited caravan. We used to rent a 2 bed, 1 bath apartment with pool for €400/month (including all bills....aircon/heating, water, electric, etc).
Once you factor in the campsite charges for pitch, electricity, gas etc you're unlikely to see much difference.

Great location , definitely year round. Nice little restaurant on site and a very pleasant walk down to one of the best beaches on the Costa Del Sol.

Brise, you may wish to hire a static caravan in the area of your choosing at that time of year just to see if it is what you hope it to be? No big investment.
